Precious O Oritsedere

Software engineer ยท JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Python, Node.js ยท London

I'm a software engineer in London. I mostly build with JavaScript, TypeScript, React,Next.js, Vue and Node.js. I also use Python for data work and automation. I like understanding the whole product, not just the UI. And I am always exploring new tools and tech stacks.

I currently work at the Open Data Institute, where most of my time goes into the OpenActive dashboard and Solid File Manager. Before ODI, I worked on products in education, fintech, healthcare and the creator economy.

Since 2019, I've built my career across Nigerian, UK and distributed international teams. Accessibility is part of how I build, not something I leave until the end. I've also led a small frontend team, contributed through Outreachy, and mentored other frontend developers.

    • Iโ€™m the frontend developer on the Solid team, working with project managers, backend engineers and standards specialists.
    • I built most of the OpenActive dashboard: its responsive interface, filters, D3 map, feed-quality views, API integration and test suite.
    • I also built most of Solid File Manager, including Solid-OIDC sign-in, Pod discovery, file operations and ACP sharing.
    • I wrote @solid/react-component so our Solid apps could share the same login UI, provider picker and authentication guard.
    • On solidproject.org, Iโ€™ve added a skip link, keyboard-accessible mobile navigation, better semantics and labels, stronger contrast, and mobile layout fixes.
    • I write unit and integration tests and review the interfaces across screen sizes and keyboard navigation before release.
